CloseWhy did Jesus take His disciples 25 miles north to Caesarea Philippi and then come back to Galilee? Some say it was to get a little rest and relaxation and to be away from the crowds; while others admit they are baffled why Jesus took this odd trip. However, there is more than meets the physical eye in this account. Jesus had a reason, a very powerful reason, for taking His disciples to this area to the north. There was a reason Jesus asked "Who do you say that I am" in this region. The reason for this trip may shock you, but it should strengthen your faith regarding Jesus as the Son of God.
