Everyone has a final destination. It does not matter how much money, fame, or power you have in this life because death comes to us all. There are only destinations after death: away from God or with God. Since Luke 15, Jesus has confronted the hard hearts of the religious leaders, and in chapter 16, Luke includes a concluding story to show the ultimate reality for those with a heart hardened toward God.
